Carolina Holistic Medicine operates on a Direct Primary Care (DPC) model — endorsed by the Institute for Functional Medicine as one of the most effective frameworks for delivering high-quality, ongoing functional care. We do not accept insurance. Please call for specialized appointment or practitioner rates.

NEW PATIENTS

We welcome new patients at our Mt. Pleasant, SC location and via telemedicine nationwide. Whether you’re dealing with a complex chronic condition that hasn’t responded to conventional care, or you’re simply ready for a more thorough and personalized approach to your health, we’re here for you.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST VISIT

New patients are required to pay a $200 non-refundable deposit at the time of scheduling. A detailed information package outlining your options will be sent upon inquiry.

YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT

All new patient intake visits are 60 minutes or longer. We take an extensive directed health history, review your prior records and labs, and conduct a thorough examination. Dr. Saleeby consults and signs off on all new patient care plans — ensuring the full expertise of the practice is behind your protocol from day one. All our NPs and PAs (APPs) follow the same paradigm.

AFTER YOUR VISIT

You’ll receive a personalized care protocol based on your history, examination, and lab results. Your health coach will begin working with you on implementation, and follow-up visits will be scheduled based on your needs and complexity of care.

Insurance Superbills

We do not bill insurance directly. Patients who need superbills to file their own insurance claims will receive a copy of their chart notes from that visit. Documentation is available within 48 hours and can be picked up or mailed. We no longer provide documentation directly to insurance companies — patients will be notified by email of any requests and may choose whether to provide that information.

Prescription Refills

Please contact your pharmacy directly for all prescription refills. Your pharmacy will reach out to us as needed. Some refills may require a processing fee, which must be collected prior to processing. Please allow up to four business days — plan accordingly so you don’t run out.

PRICING

Straightforward and clear, no billing surprises.

Carolina Holistic Medicine operates outside of the traditional insurance system — by design. This allows our providers to spend the time your care actually requires, make decisions based on your health rather than coverage limitations, and deliver a level of personalized attention that managed care simply cannot support.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept third-party insurance or Medicare. Patients may file for reimbursement with most private insurance companies independently using the superbill we provide. Medicare patients are required to sign a CMS Opt-Out waiver.
