Dr. Yusuf (JP) Saleeby, MD
Medical Director & Founder
Dr. Yusuf “JP” Saleeby is a 1991 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and completed post-graduate training at East Carolina University School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina. He pursued a career in emergency medicine for nearly two decades, also serving in occupational medicine (DOD), urgent care, and family medicine — including a tenure as Medical Director of the South Carolina Urban Search & Rescue Task Force-1. Retiring from the Emergency Department in 2013, he turned his full focus to functional, holistic, and integrative medicine, research, and the development of new healthcare delivery models.
Beginning in 1998, Dr. Saleeby undertook a rigorous self-directed curriculum in Complementary and Alternative Medicine — drawing from Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic practice, and healing traditions from around the world. That foundation, layered on top of nearly two decades of allopathic clinical experience, is the basis of the CHM model: a practice that draws the best from both worlds and applies it with scientific discipline.

CLINICAL FOCUS & AFFILIATIONS
Dr. Saleeby is an active member of ILADS (International Lyme and Associated Disease Society) and was personally precepted by Dr. Richard Horowitz — one of the foremost Lyme specialists in the world — making him a recognized Lyme Literate Medical Doctor (LLMD). He is a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), AARM, ISEAI, and the American Telehealth Association, and serves on the advisory boards of the LDN Research Trust, The BODY Healthcare, and IMA-Action. He joined the FLCCC early in the COVID pandemic to help curate protocols and provide public education — and when the FLCCC became the IMA, Dr. Saleeby was named one of eight original Senior Fellows of that organization. He currently works closely with the MAHA movement and HHS on healthcare policy work and is a Certified Tribal Practitioner (CTP) with the FNMB. His “Whole Body Health” educational platform on IMA provides free public health education.
RESEARCH, WRITING & EDUCATION
In 2016, Dr. Saleeby founded the Priority Health Academy — a fast-track certification program for advanced healthcare professionals in functional and integrative medicine — and in 2024 established the Priority Health Healing Ministry, a nonprofit extension of that mission. Over the past decade he has formulated original sports enhancement supplements for multiple companies, created eStatLabs.com (a direct-access lab testing platform for the public), and co-founded Zimetry.com. He previously served on the medical advisory boards of the Aerobic & Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and Beachbody (P90X, Shakeology).
Dr. Saleeby authored Wonder Herbs: A Guide to Three Adaptogens (Xlibris, 2006), contributed a chapter to the Life Extension Foundation’s 5th Edition Disease Prevention & Treatment (2013), and co-authored a chapter in Stop the Thyroid Madness II (2014). He has served as a contributing editor for American Fitness magazine and holds press credentials as a journalist and writer.
BEYOND THE MEDICINE
As a medical historian with a particular interest in the American Civil War, Dr. Saleeby is a member of the Society of Civil War Surgeons and the National Museum of Civil War Medicine, and lectures on medicine and surgery during the war. He maintains a personal collection of medical antiques and texts dating from approximately 100 AD through the mid-1950s. A competitive swimmer in college, he trained in luge at Lake Placid under US National Team coaches, competed in State and National Masters Olympic Weightlifting achieving podium finishes, and had the rare opportunity to row a replica Greek Trireme on both the Aegean Sea and the Thames River — serving as the crew’s assistant medical officer.
